What We Really Liked
The Xterra Fitness TR 150 folding treadmill impressed us with its overall functionality. The motor works well and delivers a smooth natural running performance. We liked also that the console has 12 built in exercise programs to provide you with guidance and variety. The extra cushioning on the running deck is another plus of this machine. The solid build and space-saving design of the Xterra Fitness TR 150 are also in its favor.
It also has well positioned speed buttons enabling you to change speed easily. The sensors are conveniently mounted so you can grip pulse sensors with a simple hand grip should you want to monitor this went you are running. Xtrasoft cushioning for decent impact absorption. It also has decent folded dimension and folded dimensions.
What We Didn’t Like
The biggest problem that we found with the Xterra Fitness TR 150 folding treadmill was the narrowness of the running deck. It is only 16 inches in width. For people who are taller than 5’6”, this will make it a little bit challenging to assume a natural running gait. We also felt that the motor warranty was a little on the light side at 12 months. Beefing it up to 24 months would provide users with greater peace of mind. Having said that, we did not come across any user reviews that mentioned motor problems in the first couple of years of purchase.
The Xterra TR150 folding treadmill black is an excellent choice for home treadmills, anyone in the market for a budget priced treadmill that will fit into a compact living space would want this. It comes with manual incline settings allowing for 3 levels of adjustment.
Serious runners will not be able to sprint on this machine the way they would on a commercial treadmill but the majority of beginner to intermediate users will have their needs met by this Xterra treadmill. The preset programs offer unmatched variety for your home gym.
For any electric treadmill, including the Xterra TR150 treadmill, we always recommend to use a treadmill mat.
